No fewer than 239 out of 279 heath facilities in Jigawa state are qualified to receive the sum of over N390 million as Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF).
This was announced by the permanent secretary Jigawa state ministry of health Dr Salisu Mu’azu while delivering his speech during the stakeholders meeting on BHCPF held yesterday at Ahmadu Bello hall in state secretariat Dutse.
He explained that, the fund is approved for the last year 2020, would come from National primary healthcare development agency to the account of any qualified facility directly without any get.
According to him, each of the 239 facilities will received N601,500.00 as two months funds meant for the upgrading the facilities adding that the funds will continue if it’s properly used.
Dr said, “this is the purpose of organising this meeting with all stakeholders including Media, CSOs, traditional and religious leaders local government chairmen, health workers among others to create awareness for successful implementations of the program as only successful facility would qualify to get more funds”
He then urged the media and CSOs to keep monitoring the program and ensure the successful implementations across the qualified facilities in the state.
