The Maiduguri Diocese has erected a giant cross on a mountain in Bazza town of Michika Local Government Area in Adamawa state as part of the ceremony for the re-consecration of the diocese.
Commissioning the new cross on the Bazza Mountain, the Bishop of Maiduguri Diocese,Most Rev.Dr.Oliver Dashe Doeme said the erection of the cross was to the immaculate heart of Virgin Mary.

“The significance of this cross is that our people who are traumatized, devastated and in pain can come here for consolation; that’s why we built the cross here.
