From Uche Uche, Damaturu
Following the attack of Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, the 5th of October at Babangida, headquarters of Tarmuwa local government in Yobe state, the state governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, represented by his deputy has yesterday visited the emirate where he sympathized with the royal father and the entire community.
Peoples Daily state correspondent who followed the deputy governor convoy to the house of the emir of Jajere, Alh. Hamza Buba Ibn Isa Mashio, stated that all the apartments in the house were all completely bunt leaving nothing un-torched.
The insurgents also carried away some of the emir’s vehicle and valuable materials and completely destroyed every other thing in the house apartments although they did not burn down the house entirely, but no life was lost during the attack which centered mainly at the emir’s resident.
In his sympathy message, the governor assured to renovate the house immediately, replace whatever was lost to the emir and reimburse the emir.
The deputy however told the security to ensure the fight against these insurgents is carried out or, they should leave it out completely because the attacks have been several in the area without any sign of security operatives in the area confronting the insurgents, thus giving the insurgents necessary opportunity to do as much harm as they wish with some form of impunity.
