Benue NDE trains over 740 in apprenticeship, school on wheel schemes

The National Directorate of Employment, NDE has commenced the training of 690 trainees in Benue State under the Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme, B-NOAS.
Thus is just as another set of 50 are also, trained under the School On Wheel Scheme in Apir.
Declaring the training open yesterday in Makurdi, Director General, NDE, Dr Nasiru Ladan Argungu noted that technical and Vocational Skills development is important where white collar jobs are absent.
Represented by Hajiya Jamila Suleiman, the DG urged the trainees to put in their best and be of good conduct during the training, warning that absenteeism would be frowned at.
Benue State Coordinator, NDE Mr. Musa Sadauki also, advised the trainees to maximize the opportunity by showing dedication and commitment during the training.
Head of Department, Vocational Skills Department Mrs. Hilda Lawani maintained that it is expected at the end of the training, that there will be a multiplier effect and urged the trainees to exhibit decorum and show respect for authority.
She also, called on the trainers to ensure strict supervision, insisting that any trainee who violates the code of conduct of the NDE will be suspended.
