From Uche Nnorom Makurdi
President Muhammadu Buhari has been called upon to turn his fatherly care to the people of Benue State and immediately order the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to come to the aid of over 100,000 displaced persons in IDPs camps in the state.
This call was made by a group known as Benue Arise Network at a press conference held in Makurdi.
Director of Media and Publicity Mr. Youghyough also urged the president to order the immediate disarming and arrest of Fulani herdsmen who allegedly move freely with AK 47 rifles.
Benue Arise Network further expressed displeasure at the attitude of the IGP Ibrahim Idris and the Force Public Relations Officer Jimoh Moshood over their uncomplimentary comments on Governor Samuel Ortom while demanding full explanation from the PRO who described the Governor as a drowning man.
