Benue Investment and Property Company, (BIPC) has commenced the construction of first phase of housing units to cater and bridge the gaps of housing needs of Benue citizens.
Managing Director of BIPC Barr. Alex Adum told newsmen after the inspection of the housing unit by Governor Samuel Ortom that the first phase of the project will see the construction of 30 units of three bedroom houses with suites.
Barr. Adum said the cost of the project estimated at over 520 million naira, will be completed by February 2021 and delivered to the off takers.
He explained that the level of interest shown is high with over 33 percent out of the 70 percent subscription already allocated.
“There will be Inter network of roads paved and landscaped, good drainage system, independent water plant which is meant to supply 100,000 litres of water daily to the entire estate that sits on 460 square kilometers with each plot sitting on 150 hectares.
“The project is executed by direct labor, so it would not be affected by inflationary trends. It is our desire that within 90 days, we would have roofed and completed the project and then delivered it to the off takers”,Adum promised.
