Bauchi to register land vendors, properties

Bauchi State Geographic Information Service has reiterated its commitment to commence registration of land vendors, properties to improve the revenue generation of the agency as part of its intention to transform land administration in the State.
Director General of the Agency Honorable Baba Abubakar Suleyman stated this while interacting with reporters yesterday in Bauchi, He said the service will help to restore sanity and bring confidence hope and transparency to the people acquiring land and building properties across the state.
Director General said “ We will soon start enlightenment campaign to remind people on the responsibilities and duties of the agency, and to sensitize people to register their properties, and recertification of their certificates , even people with traditional customary tittles, even people with one room apartment we will give them the opportunity to register their portion and give them the certificate of occupancy”.
Suleiman assured that by the time we have completed the full computerization of the agency is going to be an agency next to none interims of revenue generation, and by implementing the law establishing Bauchi State Geographic Information System, that is the clear indication that the government is willing to transform land administration in the state.
He said “Presently we are taking some measures that will improve the revenue drive of the agency, to ensure that all land administration is being implemented in a manner that is consistent with the law. To improve the quality of service delivery and to makes it more effective and transparent agency”,
Suleiman said the agency have ambitious target to register over one million properties in two to three years, and We will give the opportunity for all and sundry to register their tittles even the shop owners and the properties title holders.
