Bauchi State Government has expressed its commitment to deploy ICT as part of efforts to block leakages in the management of the state’s resources.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed stated this Wednesday when he hosted officials of the Microsoft Nigeria on an interactive session at the Government House Bauchi.
The Governor said his administration deemed it necessary to seek for partnership with experts in ICT sector in order to enhance resources at the disposal of the government.
He expressed concern over the leakages in the state’s payroll and internally generated revenue, and solicited for the support of the Microsoft Nigeria so as to block the leakages.
Governor said blocking leakages in critical sectors will assist his administration to use the resources to invest on health, education among others to ensure human capital development.
While recalling the support given by the organization to some states of the federation to manage their data, Governor Bala Mohammed sought for their support in order to ensure accurate data in the state.
The leader of the Microsoft Nigeria, Mr Bayo Awnayo said the organization will assist the state government to ensure productivity and efficiency of the workforce of the state.
