Bauchi State Government has pledged to assist People Living with Disability in the state in order to alleviate their sufferings.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed made the pledge yesterday when addressing group of People Living with Disability who visited him at the Government House Bauchi.
He said to improve their living condition; his administration would provide them with empowerment programmes and assisting them to acquire sound education.
The Governor, who acknowledged their positive contributions towards the victory of the People’s Democratic Party in the last gubernatorial election in the state, enjoined them to key into the government’s poverty alleviation programme to enable them benefit.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Malam Sa’adu Maijama’a said the visit is to register their support and loyalty to the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed for effective discharge of his responsibility.
He appealed to the Governor to give opportunity to members of the group in his administration to enable them contribute to the development of the state.
Governor Bala Mohammed had also condoled the member representing Ganjuwa East at the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar Garzali over the death of his wife, Hajiya Fatima Garzali.
