Bauchi gov pledges to end ethno- religious crisis

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has assured communities of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of the state that his administration will do everything possible to bring to an end, the religious crisis bedeviling the area.
The governor gave the assurance when members of the Lere District and officials of ZAAR Development Association visited him at the Government House Bauchi yesterday.
The governor appealed to all Muslims and Christians residing in the area to set aside their differences by joining hands with his administration so as to succeed in that direction.
He told religious and community leaders in the area to sensitize their subjects on the need to ensure mutual understanding among them for the maintenance of peace and security.
“ No body will be marginalized because of religion in my administration, I will make sure i respect all without looking at her or his status.
Governor Bala described peace as key to societal development, promised to work with them to achieve the desired objectives.
“ I must to thank the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Tafawa Balewa Local Government, Barrister Kefas Magaji for complementing our efforts of ensuring peaceful coexistence among all the communities of the area.”
On his part, the District Head of Lere, Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed confirmed that, with the inception of the present administration, peace has restored in the area.
The President, ZAAR Development Association, Engineer Isuwa Galla had earlier assured the governor of their support for the success of his administration and acknowledged his efforts at enhancing the well-being of the citizens of the state.
