From Ahmed Kaigama, Bauchi

A  political group known as democracy and justice vanguard had urged President Goodluck Jonathan to without any further delay  endorse the FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir to rescue the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) or forfeit the slot to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

The protem chairman of the group, Alhaji Bala Rambo  stated this  in a chat with  newsmen in Bauchi saying that  endorsement of the FCT Minister is the only panacea that will serve as a gauge valve with the current drama between Governor Yuguda and the PDP chairman, Mua’zu who are desperate to plant their loyalist to succeed the governor come 2015.

Rambo added that the timely intervention of Mr President is the only solution to rescue the PDP  from being hijacked by the two political gladiators  whose personal interest is fast consuming the popularity, acceptability and influence of the party in Bauchi state.

“We urge Mr. president not to hesitate in its renewed commitment to intervene in the current political  quark mare in Bauchi state, with a view to allow the FCT Minister to take over from Yuguda, if at all PDP want to avoid the disgrace it suffered from the opposition in 2007” said Bala.

The group had described the FCT Minister as the only credible person worthy to govern the state, following his giant stride in FCT, apart from his commitment to ensure the corporate existence of Nigeria when he move for the implementation of doctrine of necessity during the dark days of late president Yar’adua at the senator chamber.

“We are challenging  those claiming to be  agents of the FCT Minister and by extension serve as their bread winner through juicy contracts for keeping silence in the struggle to actualize the governorship dream of the FCT in spite of the benefit they enjoy with a promise to canvass support for the Minister” Rambo fumed”
