The President of the Nigerian Baseball / Softball Association (NBSA) Alhaji Jani Ibrahim yesterday said the Major League Baseball (MLB) would kick off from July 4 to July 6.
This was contained in a statement signed by the NBSA Secretary General, Kehinde Laniyan in Abuja that all baseball clubs in the country should prepare fully for the league.
According to him, two days will be set aside for coaching clinic, with a one day try out for players between the ages of 14 to 19.
“I wish to inform all baseball clubs in Nigeria to prepare fully once again for the Major League Baseball (MLB) program
running in Nigeria from July 4 to July 6.
The statement, however said the secretariat would announce the venue for the Clinic/tryout before June 4 adding that four states are bidding to host the MLB program.
It said a committee headed by the Secretary General has been appointed to look into the bids of all the states interested to host the league.
The states biding for the host are Kwara, Lagos, Oyo and Rivers states.
It said supports has also been coming to NBSA to ensure a successful program
