The leadership of Ashaka cement PLC a subsidiary of Lafarge world largest company has said it would increased its supply from 3 metro tone to 4 metro tones in order to meet the demand of consumers world wide.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company Mr.Leonard Palka who disclosed this yesterday in Gombe during a stakeholders sensitization workshop of Ashaka cement in conjunction with Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) with a theme strengthening our core value that was held at Emerald Hotel in Gombe.
According to him, Lafarge company is operating in more than 64 countries in the world and is known for its ability to innovate the needs of its consumers inorder to give them quality product to enable
them enhance their buildings.
Speaking further, the Managing director explained that Ashaka cement has been in the market for 35 years with flagship brand of Cement that is popularly known as star of the North which according to him has a total of 32.5 class of cement used for general purpose.
He then commended the state government, the Standard Organization of Nigeria as well as professional bodies for their kind support that have been rendering to the company, noting that they are committed tov improve communities through different CSR projects.
He appreciated the patronage over the years and promise to continue to deliver high quality products in order to enhance the maximum need of consumers in the country.
Also speaking at the event, the Director General of Standards Organization of Nigeria Dr.Joseph Ikemefuna Odumodu who was represented by the Regional Coordinator North-east Region Princess
Marline Sambo Waziri said a lot has been achieved in the fight against substandard products nation wide.
