Kaduna state governor, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero yesterday expressed deep sadness over the tragic death of Hamza El-Rufa’i, son of former FCT Minister, Malam Nasiru Ahmed El-Rufa’i, who died in a motor crash yesterday.

In a condolence message, signed by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, Governor Yero said he received news of the death of Hamza with shock and profound grief.

The governor said “the demise of Hamza, a young intelligent young man with bright prospects is a huge loss to the entire country, especially to us in Kaduna state.

Yero, however, called on the El-Rufa’i family to take the irreparable loss as an act of Allah, who knows best, saying “I urge the entire El-Rufa’i family, their friends and associates to take solace in the fact that the late Hamza lived a short but eventful lifetime full of positive narrations.”

While praying that Allah grants the soul of the late Hamza eternal rest, the Governor prayed for the Almighty to grant the El-Rufa’i’s family the fortitude to bear the loss.

It could be recalled that Hamza El-Rufa’i, died yesterday morning, in a motor accident, in Abuja.

His father, El-Rufa’i, who broke the news of his son’s death via his Twitter handle, asked the public to join his family in praying for the repose of the soul of his late son.

“From Allah we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son, Hamza El-Rufa’i, who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja,” El-Rufai wrote on his Twitter handle.

The latest development will be the second as El–Rufa’i lost his eldest daughter, Yasmine late 2011 on account of neurological related ailment in London, United Kingdom.
