The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) disbursed a total sum of N3, 936, 088, 596.26 billion to the six area councils being monies accruing to the councils for the months of September and October, 2017.
Our correspondent reports that the figure represents about 58 percent increase when compared to N1.2 billion the Federal Capital Territory Administration disbursed to the area councils for the month of August, 2017
Checks revealed that at the end of FCT Area Councils Joint Account Allocation Committee, JAAC, the sum of N1, 942, 579, 416.12 billion was disbursed to the councils for the month of September, while the total sum of N1, 993, 509, 180.14 billion was disbursed to the councils for the month of October, totaling N3, 936, 088, 596.26 billion.
And the breakdown of the figures show that the Abuja Municipal Area Council got the highest allocation of N921, 873, 498.41 for a period of two months, followed by Bwari area council with the total sum of N656, 002, 906.79, while Gwagwalada area council got the sum of N610, 987, 889.51 for the same period of September and October 2017.
Others include Kwali with the total sum of N597, 095, 156.82, while Kuje area council received the total sum of N592, 601, 495.57 and Abaji area council got the lowest allocation of N557, 527, 649.41 for the same period of September and October respectively.
