The Court of Appeal in Akure, Ondo state has fixed the hearing in an appeal filed by the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), challenging the dissolution of 18 Local Government by the state government.
The judge of the appeal court, Justice Adesola Sidiq in his judgement had nulifird the election that produces the local government officials based on the alleged exclusion of Peoples Redemption Party from the ballot papers.
The state government had already dissolved the local government and also appointed Caretakers committees after the judgement of Justice Adesola Sidiq which set aside the elections of the officials elected under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The adjournment by Justice Sidiq has given the suit a new hearing on December 5.
