All Peoples Congress (APC) yesterday received several decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over alleged high handedness of PDP leadership who according to them has refused to listen to advice of members who have worked for its victory in Kaduna state for many years.
Among the decampees are former elected councilors on the PDP platform from Sabon-Gari, Badiko/Kurmi Mashi and Makera constituencies which have been the stronghold of the party.
The decamped former PDP Councilors include Abdullahi Sani, Bala Bally and Saminu Ibrahim Zagalo, Hon. Bala Junaidu Ex-councilor, Dabo Tela, public relations officer, Abbas Muhammad and Abdullahi Poly who are ex-officio member of the PDP and Abdulmumini Salisu the PDP Youth leader in the area along their teaming supporters.
Other members who joined the APC presented their party registration cards to the former leader of the PDP in the three wards, Hon. Yusuf Ali Rabagadama who welcomed them into the fold of APC.
At a brief ceremony at Tudun Wada Primary School held on Tuesday to receive the decampees, their spokesperson Bala Junaidu also welcomed the new members and advised them to go out and register as APC members in order for them to benefit from the good leadership the party would give to all Nigerian irrespective of tribe or religion.
He said the APC was formed to save the country from the bad governance of the ruling PDP in the last fifteen years.
He told the new members to be focused and law abiding in their campaign strategy in order for the party to capture power not only at the centre but all other states that are being governed by the PDP across the country.
Welcoming the decampees, a former staunch member of the PDP in the area, Hon. Yusuf Ali now an APC stalwart expressed happiness at the turnout and thanked the people for the orderly manner they acted during the occasion. He urged them to intensify efforts and bring into the APC fold in the state their supporters in order to win all elections in Kaduna state come 2015.
