The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the party will obey the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari to resolve the crisis rocking the party.
The Acting National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, who stated this yesterday, said the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for today by the party has been suspended indefinitely.
Giadom said also that at the appropriately time, the public and members of the NEC will be informed on the new date for the NEC meeting, adding that “as of today (yesterday), we are in agreement with the president that the NEC meeting has been postponed.”
Reacting to the message on the APC official twitter handle that the NEC meeting will still hold today, Giadom said it was the product of mischief makers, saying it did not originate from him.
“That is the product of mischief makers, that did not come from me. Everybody has to respect the intervention of the President. I am talking to you as the acting national secretary of APC”, according to him.
Meanwhile, yesterday the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) announced the suspension of the APC NEC meeting earlier schedule for today, which came shortly before the PGF entered into a meeting with President Buhari.
