A member Board of Trustee, Buhari campaign Organization, Isah Tafida Mafindi, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will never split into groups, despite crisis.
Mafindi stated this yesterday in an interview with Peoples Daily in Abuja.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari always has a way of dealing with crisis, “For example, he delegated Abdulrahman Danbazau several times to address crisis in the party. Being a man with a strong resolve, he often gets things done. If APC should have 10 of his types, the crisis it is facing would not have been there in the first place. So the President needs to get people like Danbazau around, in order for things to get done. I am saying this because 60 percent of APC is ailing, and ways of treating the ailments ought to be fashioned out soonest. This has to be done before the election of a new Chairman.
Some people are deep-rooted members of the PDP, but are in APC to cause crisis. These things are common in states like Taraba and Adamawa.
He called on members of the nPDP to exercise patience and resolve their various differences amicably.
“I have been pleading with them to exercise patience and also have forgiven hearts. I have been telling the Senate President to have a forgiving heart because it is exemplary for a leader. I told him the position his father occupied in the country politically and in our live; how he saw and took everybody as his children and pampered them to bring the best out of them.
“The same path the Senate President is expected to tread. He is already in APC’s fold and should not think of leaving. I have also been pleading with Danjuma Goje, a close ally and friend since we were kids in Jalingo. I want he and the other members to have a forgiving heart as far as this issue is concerned. Very soon, the leaders of the party will reach out to them so as to chart a common ground that will be beneficial to every member or groups.”
On the President’s fight against corruption, the Board member said anyone suspected of corruption will be dealt with. “Remember the President took an oath to fight corruption; anyone guilty of the crime will face the music”.
He further said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), does not pose any threat to the APC, saying that most of the pictures during the PDP’s rally in Katsina and Jigawa were manipulated.
“My son is a seasoned professional photographer; he was able to unravel the way PDP agents manipulated the photos taken at the rallies with big crowds. They manipulated the photos and shared widely on social media to deceive people into believing that they have gotten their huge followership back.
“Also, we are seriously concerned about insecurity in the country.
Currently, I am advising the President to make sure that between now and the end of August, the bandits and Kidnappers stopping farmers from farming are arrested and brought to book”.
