The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled the Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani led Kwara executive from the party.
This was announced by the APC acting National Publicity Secretary on Sunday night in Abuja.
The executive committee had earlier been dissolved by the party’s National Working Committee, as it was established when former Senate President, Bukola Saraki held control of the party in the state.
Surprisingly Balogun-Fulani still went ahead to hold a mock presidential primary on Friday in the state’s 193 wards.
After its dissolution by the NWC, the Balogun-Fulani exco went to court to get an injunction to stop the NWC. However, many members of the executive resigned.
The APC wielded the ultimate machete by expelling the group from the party on Sunday.
The Kwara APC is now under the control of Bashir Bolarinwa.
