Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) across the nation recently converged on Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, to drum up support for the second term aspiration of Gov. Kayode Fayemi.
Those present at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium were Gen. Muhamadu Buhari, Sen. Bola Tinubu and Governors of APC controlled states.
Others were APC’s Interim National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Chief Tom Ikimi, Malam Nasir El-Rufai; Sen. Bukola Saraki and Chief Ogbonaya Onu.
Chief Rotimi Akaredolu, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Chief Segun Oni, Alhaji Danjuma Goje, Alhaji Bello Masari and Alhaji Abubakar Baraje were also in attendance.
Some of those who spoke described Fayemi as a `deliberate choice’ of the party and appealed to the electorate to cast their votes for him.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that a minute silence was held at the rally for victims of Tuesday’s bomb blast in Jos.
Akande later presented the APC flag to Fayemi. (NAN)
