The Chairman/Chief Executive Director of Blueprint Newspapers, Mohammed Idris alongside the President of Nupe Social Development Association (NUSDA) in the FCT, Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Makun among other twenty-four personalities have been conferred with the Chieftaincy titles by Amana Kakanda Muye in Lapai Local Governement Area of Niger State, Alhaji Abdulkadir Muhammed Maigari II.
The conferment of Chieftaincy titles to the twenty-six personalities was carried out at the palace of the Amana Kakanda Muye on the 5th January, 2020, after the Amana was turbaned by the Emir of Lapai, Alhaji Umar Bago III on the 4th January, 2020.
In an interview with newsmen during the occasion, the chairman central working committee, retired Real admiral Ndatsu Ibrahim Dirisu who was the chairman of the ceremony, urged the people of Muye community to co-operate with Amana for the overall development of the area.
He said: “Anybody who does not respect the leadership, God will disgrace that person. So, we believe that the way to go now is to co-operate and work together so that Muye people will succeed”.
He, therefore, pleaded with the people of Muye Community to continue to live in peace with one another.
Dirisu, who is the Marafa of Muye Community, said the coronation of Amana Kakanda would improve the economic status of Muye community.
On his part, the Amana Kakanda thanked the entire people who turned up during the occasion.
The colorful ceremony was attended by the royal fathers and some government functionaries within and outside the state.
