Some stakeholders under the umbrella of Gwandara and Gade Forum has unanimously endorsed their son Hon Abdullahi Adamu Candido for a second term as Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), in the Federal Capital Territory(FCTA).
According to the chairman, Gwandara and Gade Forum Alhaji Yahaya Santali Karshi, the endorsement became necessary following the outstanding performance of the chairman in just one year in office.
He specifically explained that with sterling qualities of leadership exhibited by Candido, every Gwandara and Gade son now walks the streets with their heads held high.
Yahaya also added that the forum believes that at the end of Candido’s second tenure, Gwandara and Gade sons and daughters will not need much campaign for any political office in Abuja.
“Mr chairman, I request you to declare your intention for a second tenure. This is because of what you have been able to achieve in just one year in office.
“ I believe after the second tenure, we’ll not need the campaign for any Gade and Gwandara sons or daughters because of the legacy that he’ll leave on ground,”he said.
Speaking earlier, Senator Jibrin Wowo expressed happiness for the show of love and unity displayed by the Gwandara and Gade people towards their son.
He noted that it is only in an atmosphere of peace that development thrives and urge them to keep the tempo of love and unity.
Sen. Wowo commended the forum for producing a chairman that has transformed leadership in Nigeria.
Also, in his remarks, Prince Tanko Karshi thanked the members of the forum for the pursuit of truth in the emancipation of the Gwandara and Gade nations in the Federal Capital Territory.
While assuring the leadership of the Forum of the chairman’s support, Prince Tanko further confirmed that Candido will running for a second term in the forthcoming general election.
In his response, Candido said the call is another opportunity granted by the people to serve them better.
He therefore assured the people of his unwaivering resolve and commitment to ensure the rapid and all-inclusive development of the Council.
