AMAC: Cuncillor to empower 500 residents with vocational skills

The Councillor elect for City centre in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Dogara John Bassa has promised to empower no fewer than five hundred residents within the city.
Bassa noted that those to benefit from vocational skills scheme will be drawn from the thirty two polling units that make up the city centre ward.
He explained that the empowerment is being considered as another means of engaging those who have no job to have something for their survival.
The councillor who won his re-election bid opined that empowerment remains one of his priorities that he must fufil before anything else.
According to him,the empowerment will be free from religion, ethnicity and any selfish ambition.
He said for the spirit of fairness, the empowerment which will commence immediately after his swearing -in ceremony.
Bassa explained that the empowerment is also a compensation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the area for their steadfastness.
