The Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has expressed confidence in the leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, saying his emergence as National Chairman of the All Progressive Party (APC/ will greatly move the party forward.
Addressing members of a group, FCT Friends of Oshiomhole, who visited him in his office to confer him the Patronship of the group, described Oshiomhole’s Chairmanship bid as a good thing to happen in the party.
Candido, in a statement signed by the his Chief Press Secretary, Dayo Lawal expressed delight that with this development in the party, the party was already having it right at this time and with him it was sure that in 2019 Buhari will win.
“I think the APC is having it right now. Without mincing words, yes we do have Chairman, we acknowledged him and appreciated his efforts, but we are looking for men of integrity, who would not just sit in the office, but moving around, sit in office and rush out to meet people. And that is what we are going to meet in the person of Oshiomhole.
“I told myself, God wants to help this country and help President Buhari by bringing Oshiomhole, who is a man of integrity and action that can move the party forward at this time.”
While accepting the appointment, Candido described it as a mark of honour, because of his desire to identify himself with the credential of Oshiomhole.
He, therefore, assured that as a delegate to the coming convention, Oshiomhole has his support.
Earlier, the Chairman of the group, Mr. Sola Folorunso-Ore while commending Candido for his remarkable performance as AMAC Chairman, said the group was formed as a platform to promote the interest of the FCT in the new dispensation of the party.
According to him, “We formed this group so that we in FCT can be involved in the scheme of things, as we are able to have a new national chairman, so that issues that relates to FCT can be channelled to him (Oshiomhole) directly, through our platform and some other platforms that have already set up.”
