The Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has inaugurated 15 Special Assistants, with a charge to them to see their appointment as a call to serve the people and not for themselves.
It was gathered that out of the total 15 appointees that took the oath of office, 12 of them were newly appointed, while the remaining three were earlier appointed, but yet to be inaugurated.
This was disclosed statement signed by the Chairman’s Chief Press Secretary, Chief Dayo Lawal, yesterday, in Abuja.
Speaking while inaugurating the appointees, Candido said they were assigned to function in various positions that were designed to add value to the governance and widen the revenue base of the Area Council in line with the vision of his administration, which is a corrective regime.
He said their appointments were to reward excellence, participatory and show of togetherness with unity of purpose for all members of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Council.
“I just want to say that the appointment is not just for your own, it is a call to serve the people of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and you must put in your best to justify the confidence bestowed on you,” Candido was quoted in the statement.
Responding on behalf of others, Pastor Samuel Iloh, the Special Assistants to the Chairman on Public Private Partnership (PPP) Projects, thanked the Chairman for the opportunity given to them to serve the people of the Area Council.
He promised that they would put in their best, in the discharge of their respective assignments.
