The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has stressed the need for political appointees to add value to governance, in order to attain growth and development in the society.
Candido, who gave the charge at a recent enlarged stakeholders meeting with all his political appointees, urged them to always be loyal and resourceful to his administration.
The Chairman also used the occasion to praise his Vice, Lawrence Onuchukwu, whom he said has been very loyal and resourceful to his administration, describing him as the best Vice Chairman in the Area Council so far.
He further described the AMAC Vice Chairman as a diligent and thorough person, who has always risen to the challenge of leadership.
“In this administration, Chairman and Vice Chairman are one and the same; and my Vice Chairman is a man in whom I have implicit confidence with, and he is the best Vice Chairman so far,” Candido stressed.
In his remarks, the Vice Chairman, who was full of appreciation to the Chairman for the unequivocal declaration of vote of confidence in him, promised never to disappoint the administration.
He recalled that since the inception of the present administration, the relationship between him and his boss has always be as brothers.
He, however, urged other political appointees to heed to the Chairman’s call to be loyal and helpful to the present administration of AMAC, so as to facilitate delivery of democratic dividends to the people at the grassroots.
