Almakura decries low turn out of stakeholders at book launch

Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura yesterday expressed discomfort over low turn out of stakeholders at a book launch in honour of his achievements so far recorded since assumption of office in 2011.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy governor, Hon. Silas Agara, expressed dismay on the low turn out while making his final remarks at the book launch held at the Ta’al conference hotel in Lafia the state capital.
According to him “I am not happy with the low turn out in the special book launch which chronicles my achievements by the correspondents’ chapel of the Nasarawa chapter of the , Nigerian Union of journalists”.
He however applauded members of the chapel for their immense contributions since the coming of the present administration in the state.
The book titled “ Governor Almakura: expanding the frontiers of Democratic governance in Nasarawa state,covered Alamkura’s achievements in the health, education and urban and rural developments cut across nooks and crannies in the state.
Some of the stakeholders in attendance expressed concerned with the low turn-out added that the turn out is an indication that Almakura’s people are not with him.
