Aliero Varsity VC urges staff commitment to quality graduates

The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Aliero University of Science and Technology Kebbi State, Professor Bashir Ladan Aliero has called on the university academic and nonacademic staffs to be committed to the university guidelines by dedicating to the academic procedure and producing quality graduate from the school.
He made this remarked yesterday in his office while fielding questions with newsmen on his the activities of the institution adding that the university recruited over 100 academic and non academic unqualified staffs recently in order to meet-up with the NUC guideline.
The VC stated further that the university has guidelines which made them to employees the staffs adding that they did not breached the procedure of the institution.
“We have governing council which made us to do whatever we did and we following due process which make the state government approved the recruitment for them and ensure that they meet-up with the accreditation guideline, “We did it because we want to accredited some course and without the qualified staffs some course would not be accredited,” he said.
Professor, said that when he assumed office as the VC of the university, there was no Governing Council but he fought to make sure that the council has been inaugurated which was headed by Senator Muhammad Mogoro as well as paid the staffs three month salary increments.
“I assumed office by September last year but what I achieved now is more than what the previous administration did, with the support of TETFUND and state government I constructed University e-library, purchase of the both science and Technology equipment in the laboratory, I also constructed and expand university clinic as well as lecture halls, and others” he added.
He assured the people that his aimed is to produce quality and best graduate and leave a good legacy behind, while urge the staffs to stop making fake news, admonished them to always verified their information before go on air.
