A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), known as Almuhibba Foundation has donated relief materials worth N300, 000 to the hospitalised victims of Bauchi bomb blast, just as it condemned the blast
The materials donated at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital in Bauchi State, which is one of the hospitals where the injured victims are undergoing treatment include beverages, toiletries, bottle water amongst other others.
It could be recalled that blast occurred on the 27th of June 2014, at the People’s Hotel in Bayan Gari, a suburb of the Bauchi metropolis and was officially reported to have claimed 13 lives and injured 36 others.
The Chairman of the foundation, Mohammed Jire, explained that the gesture was to cushion the sufferings of the victims and show them love in their trying moments.
“We want to show love in the spirit of a Ramadan season to aid our brothers and sisters to recuperate well. We also want to use this opportunity to call on the perpetrators to embrace dialogue and shun violence”
Jire pledged to go round the government hospital where the victims are receiving treatment, to monitor and check their progress.
The Compound Officer in charge of the wards in the hospital, Hajiya Asma’u Mustapha commended the foundation for their humane gesture and urged other organizations to emulate them.
