The Nigeria Nationwide League One, NLO has confirmed that Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure will be one of the centres for the division three of its matches.
The Chairman of the NLO, who also doubles as a board member of the NFF, Alhaji Mohammed Alkali stated this at the inauguration of standing committees by the Ondo State Football Association
“My colleagues sent me to welcome him back as the Chairman back after his election. Am assuring the people of Ondo state that right from today, you will see changes.
“The entire Congress of the NFF are happy with the election of Otunba Dele Ajayi. In the next edition of our NLO division 3, a big centre will be awarded to Ondo State.
Inaugurating the committee, Board member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh said,the constitution of the standing-committees, was in tune with the statutes of the NFF.
Fresh said he was happy that the State FA Chairman,Otunba Dele Ajayi, had brought everyone on board from the last election and would be successful, saying,” A divided house will not last “
Fresh urged the members of Sports Writers in the state to also, always put the FA in the state in the right direction whenever they were astray.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Ondo FA, Otunba Dele Ajayi said the state would be full of football activities with the committees in place.
Ajayi said Ondo State FA has the solution to the problem of Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens, urging the state government to carry the association along.
“We are ready to collaborate with people with ideas and personnel from people that can make Ondo state enviable heights.
“We thank the governor of the state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for the huge amount he has released for the state owned teams so far.
“We know what to help both teams. It is too bad to owe for seven months for the male team and 13 months for the female team,” he said.
Ajayi later thanked both Board members Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh and Alhaji Mohammed Alkali for gracing the occasion.
Alkali, who is the Chairman of the Nassarawa FA, said the whole of NFF were happy with the election of Dele Ajayi as the chairman of the FA in the state.
