Rarely two weeks after two persons were killed with three others maimed by unknown gunmen at Gwombe, suspected kidnappers have shot and injured three persons at Gudun- Karya, in Kuje Area Council.
Eyewitness account revealed that the sound of gun shots threw the entire community into pandemonium.
A member of the community, who identified himself as Usman, said the gunmen invaded the village late Saturday.
According to him, the gunmen went to a house of their victim to abduct him but he was absent, then they fired sporadic into the air and wounded three persons.
He said: “Actually, they missed their target when they came to kidnap a member of the community, the man was not at home.
“I came out of the room after the gunmen had left and discovered three persons with bullet wounds lying on the ground.”
According to him, the victims were taken to a clinic at Lokogoma village in Nasarawa state.
The chairman of the council, Alhaji Abdullahi Galadima, who confirmed the attack through his media aide, Haruna Usman, said the chairman visited the community on Sunday to condole with the people.
He said the chairman also visited the hospital where the injured persons were still receiving treatment, saying he was saddened over the incident.
Meanwhile when contacted at the time of filling this report, all effort to get a response from the FCT police command spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah proved abortive.
