The Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN) yesterday said that it had concluded plans to organise an Athletics Twilight meet as part of its efforts at creating more competitions for athletes.
The AFN Technical Director, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama said in Lagos in an electronic mail that the meet was meant to encourage athletes from the Northern States.

“This will assist athletes to prepare better for major competitions ahead of them this year and also to bring more competitions to the northern parts of the country,” Nesiama said.
He said that the top 10 across the range of events shall be given some token incentives for their efforts.
