The officials of fruit Sellers Association Dei-dei branch in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have called on the senator representing the FCT at the National Assembly, Senator Philip Aduda to repair a borehole constructed by him in the area without pumping the water.
They also called on the senator to expedite action to fulfill his promise made during the electioneering campaign as the 2015 elections are approaching.
Speaking to People’s Daily, on behalf of the executive members of fruit market in Dei-dei. Mallam Aliyu Bakori, also pleaded with the chairman of AMAC, Hon. Micah Jiba to rehabilitate the main road leading to the fruit market.
He further appealed to the chairman to provide a transformer in the market to boost socio-economic activities there.
He urged the chairman to re-double his effort to provide social amenities for the residents of Dei-dei to put smiles on their faces, noted that the people of Dei-dei were neglected in the area of provision of basic facilities.
He pledged to continue to co-operate with the administration of AMAC to move the Dei-Dei fruit market to the next level, while advising the members to respect the constituted authority anytime of the day.
Bakori, however, appealed to the officials of the market to always work towards the progress of the market and called for co-operation among the members at all times.
