Adimula heads Commonwealth Scholars, Fellows Alumni Association

Dr. (Mrs.) Ruth Abiola Adimula of the Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ilorin, has been elected the new President of the Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni Association, Nigeria (COSFAN).
Until her election, Dr. Adimula was the body’s General Secretary.
In a statement issued by the newly elected Publicity Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Obe, it was disclosed that others elected are Cyril Ojochide Akagwu (Vice President) and Chidi Ezegwu (General Secretary), while Aminu Ado retained his position as Treasurer/Financial Secretary. Two Regional Co-ordinators were also elected – Mrs. Helen Akinwande-Fidelis (South-West) and Samuel Olushola Oyegunle (North Central).
COSFAN, a non-profit organisation, consists of eminent Nigerians who have enjoyed the sponsorship of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), United Kingdom (through the British Council), in their respective postgraduate academic pursuits and/or career enhancement from 1960 to date.
Dr. Adimula, who is a member of Unilorin Bulletin Editorial Board is presently serving as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Women Affairs.
