Kwara Football Academy boss and former Super Eagles midfield player, Mutiu Adepoju, has emphatically said that the current crises rocking Nigeria Football cannot be determined now but only future event would determine what will happen. Adepoju made the statement while speaking exclusively in Ilorin.
Speaking on the current situation of the national team, the “Headmaster” as he is fondly called welcomes the idea of Keshi’s return, but insist that only situation in the future would determine whether Keshi will remain or Nigeria should look for a foreign coach.
Mutiu who is a member of the Technical Committee appointed by NFF President, Pinnik Amaju, believe in continuity as he said Keshi who started the job must be the one to finish it.
“The situation will determine what future lies in wait for Nigerian football. We are having a lot of crises now with Nigerian coaches, but if the crisis is over and we really get our acts together, it will address itself.
“Keshi is the one that started the qualifying matches. So, I don’t see anything wrong if he was called back to the team to conclude the assignment,” he said. The former Real Sociedad of Spain midfielder however appealed to football stakeholders in the country to work together in making sure peace and harmony return back to the Nigeria Football Federation. “I think what we should be clamouring for now is how peace will return to the NFF so that things can work normal again.”
