The People’s Democratic Party. (PDP), Adamawa state chapter has zoned its party’s leadership positions within the three senatorial zones in the state.
Announcing the decision of the party after a crucial stakeholders meeting in Yola Tuesday, spokesman of the stakeholders Sam Zadock said the stakeholders and caretaker committee of the party were unanimous in arriving at zoning arrangement of the leadership.
He explained that the major stakeholders of the party in the state have resolved to zone the position of the state chairman of the party to Southern Senatorial Zone of the state.
Other positions zoned to the south included Publicity Secretary, Assistant Legal Adviser, Assistant Organizing Secretary, Financial Secretary and Assistant Treasurer, while the Central Senatorial Zone is to produce Secretary, Auditor, Youth Leader, Assistant Publicity Secretary and Legal Adviser.
According to Zadock, Northern Senatorial Zone was allocated the position of Deputy Chairman, Organizing Secretary, Assistant Auditor, Treasurer and Women Leader.
He further explained that each zone would also produce two ex-officio one of which must be a woman.. Among the stakeholders present at the meeting were;Former Acting Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fitir,Former Speaker,state Assembly,Hon.Abubakar Abdullahi,FormerState chairman,Chief Joel Madaki,Former Senator Grace Jackson Bent among many others.
