Adamawa NLC elects news exco

The 12th Quadrennial state delegates conference of the Nigeria Labour congress (NLC) in Adamawa state has been conducted peacefully with the emergence of new elected state officials for 3 years tenure of office.
Announcing the results of the contest in Yola weekend,Mr.Innocent Luka ,president General of the Nigerian Association of Railway workers and returning officer of the election said Comrade Emmanuel Fashe of NULGE won the position of the state chairman after scoring 217 votes .
Comrade Fashe defeated the Acting chairman of the Union, Mr. Jeremiah Ngyakwar of Medical and Health workers union (MHWU) who got 127 votes and Mr.Yakubu Mijah of NUHPSW who got 31 votes.
Mr.Luka announced that incumbent chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers,NUT,Comrade Rodney Nathan clenched the seat of Vice chairman with 239 votes to defeat his three other challengers.
Post of Secretary General went back to the serving official, Dr. Nyalas as he was returned unopposed while comrade Mahmudu Muhammad of NASU recorded 237 votes to be returned the Treasurer defeating Comrade Umar Ahned Jera of NCSU
The position of state Auditor went to Comrade Shehu Sa’ad of RATTAWU after sorting it out with comrade Gwayina Dadi of NUPSRAW and comrade Abdulkarim L. Buba of NUCFCFWW respectively.
Madam Fxenty Sanda Lamurde of JUSUN and Lami Aminu of NANNM were returned Ex-officio accordingly.
The returning officer (LUKA) while administering oath of office to the newly elected state officials charged them to carry their members alone in the discharge of their union responsibilities.
