A former Member of Representatives from Yola North,Yola South and Girei Federal Constituency Adamawa State, Honourable Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani has formally declared her intention to contest for the Adamawa Central Senatorial seat in the 2019 General Elections.
Aishatu Binani made her aspiration intention known in Yola on Thursday when she, in company of hundreds of supporters, paid a courtesy call on the All Progressives Congress, APC leadership at State Secretariat stressing that the emergence of APC led administration has saved the country from possible calamity politically.
Binani said the goodwill and pressure from her supporters and well wishers informed her decision to seek election in to the senate so that the mandate of her Constituents can be realized through qualitative representation.
“We are here today not for speech making or campaign but simply to register our intention to the party as an aspirant for Adamawa Central Senatorial Seat in 2019 Elections Insha’Allah,
“I would begin to make contacts in the senatorial Zone with our stakeholders pending when party political activities will be formally announced, “Binani added.
She also announced that after a thorough consultation with her supporters in many political parties, they agreed unanimously to decamp to APC including executive committees of many parties noting it was a big catch for the party.
“Many of our supporters from central Zone, and from Mubi, Ganye, Jada and Toungo in opposition parties such as ;PDM, Mega Party, Green Party and some from PDP are formally decamping to the APC today,” Binani declared.
Responding to her position, Acting Chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal expressed happiness over the development saying her intention declaration has added value to the party going by her track records when she was at the lower chamber of the senate in 2011- 2015.
Bilal, in the presence of his executive members, pledged to provide a leveled playing ground for every aspirant in the party, urging new entrants to go to their wards to register with the party so that they benefit all rights and privileges as old members of the party.
