Adamawa Assembly lawmakers to wade into APC leadership crisis

The Adamawa state lawmakers have pledged to wade in to the leadership tussle rocking the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the peaceful co-existence and development of the party.
Speaker of the Adamawa Assembly, Rt. Honourable Kabiru Mijinyawa, dropped the pledge Wednesday in Yola while on solidarity visit to the leadership of the party at the party’s state secretariat, saying that the entire members of the Assembly are loyal to the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal led executive.
Mijinyawa, in company of twenty four legislators, told the Bilal led – leadership of the party to disregard the speculation making the rounds that the state Chairman and Secretary will be ask to step aside because they were appointed and not elected.
Mijinyawa explained that the politicians in the state, especially lawmakers, are satisfied with the leadership style of the incumbent Acting chairman (Bilal) and will go to any extent of ensuring that they continue in office either by consensus or election so that the party can wax stronger.
“Ignore any speculation about plan of changing your leadership of the party in the state. As a matter of fact, even if it means going into election in the event consensus is not reach, then we are assuring you of our loyalty and support”, Mijinyawa said.
Collaborating their stand, Majority Leader of the House, Honourable Hassan Barguma, said the members are solidly behind the Bilal led-Leadership of the party in the state.
Barguma told the gathering that the legislators were on their way to National Secretariat of the party in Abuja for the matter in the interest of peace, tranquility and cordial relationship.
Responding, the Acting Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal said the entire executives of the party are delighted with the visit, saying it was brotherly.
Bilal stated that the party is proud of the elected officials of the party who have been contributing in developing the party financially and morally, especially by the legislature and the executive.
