The stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress,APC in Adamawa state have appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to release the report of the investigation on the case of suspended secretary to the Government of the Federation,SGF David Lawan Babachir.
The stakeholders made their position known at a crucial meeting held in Yola over the weekend stressing that, in the event Babachir is not found guilty,should be reinstated in the interest of fairness and justice.
“We the stakeholders of our party(APC) In Adamawa are unanimously calling on president Muhammadu Buhari to please release the report on the case of suspended SGF,Engineer Babachir and if not found guilty should be reinstated in the interest of fairness and justice “.They appealed.
Reading communique of the meeting,spokesman of the group, Former Senator Silas Zwingina said the forum also resolved to pass vote of confidence on the leadership style of president Buhari.
Zwingina explained that the stakeholders took pain staking efforts in X-raying achievements in the areas of degrading of Boko Haram insurgency,Roads construction across the country,Improved Agricultural revolution,Availability of petroleum products among many others.
He therefore announced resolution of the stakeholders to also adopt President Muhammadu Buhari for re-election as Nigerian president come 2019 general elections noting that President Buhari must be encourage to continue the good works he has embarked so far.
Earlier in his welcome address, chairman of the party, Ibrahim Billah told the gathering that it was a constitutional provision of their party to call for stakeholders meeting which is meant for appraisal of activities with a view to affecting adjustment where necessary.
Billah said in every political journey,there must be commendations,outcry and criticism so that corrections and improvements could be implemented for the survival of the party.
He therefore seek for forgiveness from who ever felt not carried along in the scheme of things assuring them that all resolutions reached will be followed strictly by the party and its membership.
However in his remarks, Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla said his administration has stride hard in the provision of infrastructural development in roads network,Education sector ,Health sector and skills acquisition centres for developing self reliance to our teeming unemployed youths in the first two year.
Represented,by Deputy Governor Martins Babale ,pledged to adopt radical approach in human empowerment programs for the electorate in the state.
He directed the Leadership of the party to raise proposals on how best to empower party’s members in the state so that they feel the impact of their party in power.
Our correspondent reports that among the stakeholders at the meeting were Former minister of Interior,Alhaji Abdulraham Adamu, Former Director General,National Boundary Commission, Alhaji Dahiru Bobbo, Senator Binta Masi,Five serving members House of Representatives, APC state Executives among others.
