Abuja: Female handset repairers decry epileptic power supply

The Directors of Blessed Dominion Ventures: a company owned by women handset repairers, Ms Mercy Orif and Mrs Peace Esonye have decried epileptic electricity supply, saying it has been affecting them seriously in their business.
Speaking to our reporter in their workshop in Abuja, Orif boasted of their ability to repair any kind of handset and restore it to its initial position, but regretted that poor power supply has been hindering their business, just as she informed that they learnt the trade at a recent skill acquisition programme organised by the Redeem Christian Church of God, Jesuse Embassy in Kabusa, Abuja Appealing to the All Progressives Congress (APC)- led government to as a matter of importance and urgency do something about power supply in the country, Orif said with what they had been undergoing, she had come to know the importance contribution of power supply to the economy.
She however, appealed to the government and concerned individuals to assist them acquire a generator with which to be generating electricity in order to continue their work.
Similarly, her colleague, Mrs Esonye said appart from the epileptic electricity supplies, they needed equipments and assessories, which if acquired would offer them the opportunity to showcase Nigerians what the women folk can do. She said if well encouraged, they would train other Nigerians, even as she informed that they learnt the trade within three months.
A passer-by, Apostle Frankiin Agusy who spoke to our man commended the women for the courage they sommoned. He however urged those in the public and private sectors to encourage such women, which if done, according to him would not only make them achieve their targets, also motivate other women to queue up. Calling on other women to emulate Orif and Esonye, he urged the partners to keep the pace at which they have been going.
