Former Governor of Niger State, Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu has described General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida as a detribalized Nigerian and a nationalist who have contributed immensely to the continued unity and development of Nigeria.
Dr Aliyu made the disclosure in an interview with journalists in Minna as IBB clocks 78 on Saturday 17th August, adding that the former military President Babangida is probably the most experienced leader that we have in this part of the world.
He applauded his contributions at both on the state and national levels on issues as well on world affairs hoping and prayed that he continued to stay alive as an elder statesman, leader and adviser that he has been doing without reservations.
Aliyu appreciated the elder statesman for sacrificing himself, comfort and materials to help other people most especially those of them in Minna and environs hence the to celebrate him.
“Am happy he has reached around 78 years old and we are counting, we hope that he stays far longer because he is probably the most experienced leader we have so far in this part of the world, we need him around as an elder, a leader and an adviser,” he stated.
