The leadership of Yoruba Community in the Northern States and FCT, Abuja facilitates with His Royal Highness, Dr. Shehu Idris, the Emir of Zazau as he clocks 43 years on the throne.
The Chairman Council of Yoruba Traditional Obas & Chiefs in the 19 Northern and Abuja Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo stated this in a press statement made available to the media in kaduna yesterday.
The statement described the royal father as a peace loving person whose leadership sagacity has continued to stabilize Kaduna state and Nigeria at large.
“He has continued to show a good example by providing exemplary leadership through promotion of peace especially among the diverse and we prayed that may Almighty Allah continued to guide and protect him as he remain on the throne to steer the affairs of the Emirate.
“Dr. Shehu Idris is known not to be a sectional leader, whose stereotype has united the inhabitants and non-inhabitants of the state since he was turbaned sometime in 1975.
“We therefore call on the traditional rulers in the state to continue to give maximum and the required support to His Royal Highness, Dr. Shehu Idris on his peace building projects across the state.
“We also urged the religious leaders to continue to preach peace to their followers in their various localities for peaceful coexistence.
“The leadership of Yoruba Community lauded the Police, Military and other law enforcement agencies for their steady and prompt response in promoting peace in the state and Nigeria at large.
“We shall continue to support them in prayers for success,” the statement said
