300 girls compete for honours in Edo

Over 300 girls between ages 15 and 17, across social status have been enlisted by Lizzyadams Foundation to compete for honours and carrier counselling in Edo state.
The Winner in the state is expected to join other contestants across the Federation to slug it out during the final contest where the overall best contestant would be unveiled as the 2017 brand Ambassador and face of the Foundation.
The project Facilitator of the Non-Governmental organisation, Lizzy Adams at the weekend told journalists in Benin that the overall winner in the contest, stands to enjoy free travels abroad, Educational and free sponsorship support.
“We are giving them a platform and a voice to speak out on issues that are holding them back and things that affect them all over the world.
“I want to be a beacon for these girls to see that they can be where I am. I believe every girl has a story to tell, she said.
An Entrepreneur and resource personal who spoke at the event, Liza Pavlakos, urged the shortlisted persons to be confident be discreet in life by protecting themselves against vices that could thwart their dreams.
In an interview with the Media Consultant for the Foundation, Ogaga Otaotu, challenged the contestants to strive to become masters in the arts in their own enterprise and resist the temptation of becoming a willing tool for unproductive ventures that could shatter their dreams.
The 2016 brand Ambassador of the Foundation and female Secondary school student in Lagos state, Miss Fridacus Muhammed-Ali, in an emotion-laden to her audience, pledged her commitment to influence her peers in defence of their mandate.
