The presidential aspirant under platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido has urged the National Assembly to conduct a thorough probe of the alleged $25bn Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, contracts.
Lamido who expressed bitterness over the matter, called on the national chambers to go over the issue and vigorously investigate the legality and due process of the $25 billion NNPC said contracts “doing that is primary responsibility of the law makers”.
He made the call over the weekend when he received the PDP national chairman aspirant and former Governor of Ogun State Gbenga Daniel in his home town Bamaina area of Jigawa state.
According to Lamido, “in the history of Nigeria as a country, there is no any record that shows a Group Managing Director single-handedly awarding a contract worth $25 billion until under present administration led by so called purified Buhari.”

The ex-governor added that, all signs of illegality, contravening constitutional provision and frauds emerged in the said NNPC contracts as the sum of $25 billion is above this year’s budget, “if this is the case it means the amount is not appropriate in the Nigerian approved budget for 2017”.
Lamido who said, Nigeria and Nigerians under the present administration are in serious danger added that no amount of intimidation and harassment could stop him from telling the truth to whom ever does wrong in this country “because we will not allow few to jeopardize the future of our millions and the country at large” he said.
While speaking on the ruling party, he alleged All Progressives Congress (APC) for combining unpatriotic people, who lack focus in good leadership adding that this most change in 2019 by God’s grace.
He said, Nigerians most revolt against slavery hunger and starvation comes 2019, he added that “no amount of threat, intimidation or incarceration can silent him for speaking about the wrong doing of Buhari and his the government”.
