22 .5 MVA Capacitor bank to improve power supply in Keffi , environs

The Transmission Commission of Nigeria ( TCN) Deputy Manger , Sam Joshua yesterday said the capacitor 22 .5 MVA will improve more quality of power supply to Consumers in Keffi local government area of Nasarawa state and environs.
Joshua made the disclosure to the Minister of Power , Works and Housing ll, Sulieman Zarma during an inspection tour to the Sub-station on a continuous inspection to North – Central Zone.
The Deputy Manager who told the minister that Keffi town has only 30 MBA to supply light to the town has contributed to the low power supply of the area but with the new 60 MBA dominated by Japan International Agency (JICA), this will definitely go a long way in improving the quality of light “.
He emphasized that the electricity light will now sustain Keffi , Akwange , Karu , Nasarawa ,some remote communities and part of Abuja.
While reassured that the dominated 60MBA by JICA has bind bilateral ties with Japan.
Moreso ,the Capacitor bank is like a battery which with be commission from now to Oct 2018 to benefit the lives of the people in those places.
In his responses the Minister emphasised that the Capacitor bank was a grant from JICA was mainly to improve electricity light in those towns and also boost the state and economy activities as well the well – being of the People.
Zarma maintained that ,when the quality of light increases “ it effects another sectors ,those engaged in Agro- Allied processing activities will boost the agricultural produce and empowerment of the people in the state
