The Middle Belt Arise Forum has advocated support for the south-Eastern region to produce president comes 2023 presidential election, for unity, equity and justice to prevail in the country.
The forum made the call in a statement signed and issued on Wednesday in Abuja by Cmrd. Ilemmona Iyeh, the President of the forum.
Iyeh called on the nation political leaders to use this 60the independence anniversary to address the seeming confusion bordering the entire country for coexistence among all the geopolitical zones.
“Middle Belt region is hereby assuming its duty to give support for the South-Eastern Nigeria to produce the next president of Nigeria in 2023.”
According to him, the Middle Belt is not interested in which political party it might be, but that the next president of Nigeria should emerge from that region.
Iyeh said there were so many competent people from the region who are capable to run the administration of this country if they are giving opportunity.
He emphasized strongly that for Nigeria to put into practice the message of unity and oneness, every region should be given equal political opportunity.
