Charles Nwadiani, former Special Adviser to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Lagos state governor, has joined the governorship race in Delta state ahead of 2019 general elections.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant promised to replicate the economic blueprint in Lagos state in Delta state and make poverty history if given the mandate.
Nwadiani disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen yesterday at the Benin airport. He said his decision to run for the plum job, was to bring progressive governance, expand the frontiers of governance and rescue Deltans from oppressive governance. He also listed youth empowerment, security and agriculture as critical areas of intervention elected.
“We will rebuild our industries, our moribund factories through adequate funding and putting competent hands and then, we can begin to look at revenue generation in the next one year.
“The most important thing is bringing the culture of good governance and expanding its frontiers to the Niger Delta, making Delta State, the root of great developmental strides.
“We have limited our action plans to four years and we will implement in these four years and successive governments will build on it and secure the trust of investors. We also will employ a lot of youths into the Agricultural sector. We have vast land in the state that can be converted for agricultural purpose and this, we intend to do,” he said.
