From Nosa Akenzua, Asaba

A study group in Delta State on Monday in Asaba described as exercise that will end in vain All Progressive Congress ( APC) threats of winning and taking over the state come next saturday governorship elections in the state, saying that the People’s Democratic party ( PDP) the ruling party, has no opposition.
In the last few weeks, Delta state has been enveloped with strong indications that come next saturday governorship elections, APC will sweep all the votes and ensure the removal of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
But the leader of the group, a veteran Journalist , Sunny Areh who spoke to Journalists in Asaba, said APC has no structure in the state, talkless of winning the governorship elections or removing Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
According to him, this group is a study group for good governance, and we have been following religiously activities of the present governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, he has done very well in all areas of developments, and we have also been monitoring APC states, there are no bases for comparison, APC threats of taking over the state or winning is a dream that can never come through, PDP has no opposition in Delta State”
The former aide to Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan however charged Delta Central, South and North districts to brace up to the challenges of threats openly displayed by APC Chieftains in the state, adding that going by the massive developments in the state as initiated by PDP Okowa led administration, it would be difficult for APC opposition party to have its way.
He said” Okowa by all standards has track records that will be difficult for APC to surpass, he has performed and he is a grassroots man, we are just worried by the threats of taking over the state by APC, especially Adams Oshiomhole, It will not be possible because PDP has the biggest structures on ground, Okowa good works speak well for him”
The group however charged the people of the state particularly Aniomas to rally supports for Dr Okowa and ensure that he is returned for the second term irrespective of the threats from the opposition APC and dismissed the allegations that the group supports PDP for financial gains.
